Oooops I did it agan....
Those of you who have met TaterTot will understand when I say that she wagged so hard today that she tweaked her knee some more. She got so excited that she had a full on self-flagellation wag and suddenly she was twitching her leg out to the side uncontrollably and then tucking it up hard to her side. She didn't yelp or look concerned at all, but I know the leg has been bothering her more tonight. She constantly stands up turns her circles and lays back down. She just can't get comfortable. I called the clinic at U of MO to see if they could get her in sooner, but it doesn't look like that will happen. Tick tock, tick tock....it's a long way to 10/26.

Lots of Crying today
I really wish we didn't have to wait so long until our appointment. I realize that's my fault for not making the appointment sooner. I should have just scheduled it and figured out the money later. Ok, I'm still trying to figure out the money, but poor TaterTot has been crying all morning. I've finally decided that she's not crying because Mommy is sitting on the couch knitting instead of paying attention to her. She's in pain. She's been doing a lot of random licking, and I believe that is a sign of pain in a dog. She's usually pretty stoic, so it must hurt her considerably. She has such a hollow pleading look in her eyes. I hope she knows that I'm going to take care of her as soon as I can. I've been giving her a leftover pain pill when it gets too awful for her. I think today is one of those days. The fund says that October 26th isn't nearly enough time. But poor TaterTot says it isn't nearly soon enough.

Surgery Scheduled
We have an appointment on October 26th with the wonderful doctors who performed TaterTot's first surgery. They will most likely keep her and perform the surgery the next day. I will be updating the blog regularly as she recovers. I hope this will help other people who are facing TPLO surgery.
TaterTot:
Hey, guys. I'm sorry I haven't been in class for a while. My knee has been really bad. Mom is taking me to the doctor in a month. I won't be able to do ANYTHING for a few months, but I'll be 100% by spring, though. Then I can play with my friends as much as I want. I'll be ROBO-DOG with metal in both of my knees! Look out, Paddy O' and Auggie!

3 Legs Again
My leg hurts. My other leg used to hurt like this, but Mom took me to the doctor and it stopped hurting. I had to spend weeks and weeks being bored and laying down all the time, but I finally got to run and play with my friends again. Now, this leg is hurting the same way. I don't like to stand on it, and when I wake up it doesn't work at all. We had people over last night, and I was so excited and ran around and whipped everyone with my tail. I LOVED it!! But, today I hurt. I don't want to do anything. Mom stacked up all my beds so I have a nice place to nap. I wish Mom would take me to the doctor and get this leg fixed, too. I miss my friends. I haven't been to school in weeks. Mom says it's because my leg is hurting and that going to school would just exacerbate the problem. I dunno what exacerbate means, but it's boring.
